Exodus Now Offers In-Wallet EOS Registration! Register Before June!

The Exodus team has done everyone a big favor by making EOS registration a piece of cake! They literally made a one-button method for completing the EOS token registration. This must be done before the end of the ICO on June 1st, when the real EOS blockchain launches.

“As a wallet that strives to make cryptocurrency intuitive and easy, we feel that a difficult EOS registration process is deterring and we hope that adding this function relieves some stress from blockchain banking.” – Exodus

You must have at least 0.005 ETH in your Exodus wallet to complete the process. EOS is a token on Ethereum up until the snapshot. This means fees must be paid in ETH.

If the GIF above doesn’t explain the process thoroughly enough, follow these directions: open up the “Help” menu in Exodus, then scroll down to the bottom until you see the entry for EOS registration, and then click on it. Then click on the Big Green Button and it will ask you to confirm you want to register.

Once clicked, your EOS tokens are registered to the EOS Mainnet address of your Exodus wallet!

* If you have already registered your EOS address, the message that your address is not registered will still appear. If you would like you can override the old one and register your address again from within Exodus. This will create a new EOS Mainnet address and Private Key (stored in Exodus).

If you don’t see the options to register, make sure your Exodus wallet is up to date. The current version is 1.50.1

Get Ready! Hardware Wallets Are Coming To Exodus – The Full Exodus Wallet Roadmap

Exodus is easily one of our favorite Bitcoin and cryptocurrency wallets. The UI is amazing, you can store a multitude of different blockchain tokens and there is a built in exchange tool.

AND EXODUS LETS YOU CONTROL YOUR PRIVATE KEYS 👍

Currently Exodus supports Aragon, Augur, BAT, Bitcoin, Civic, Decred, Dash, EOS, Ethereum, Gnosis, Golem, Litecoin, OmiseGo, Qtum and SALT.

And now It has been confirmed! Hardware wallets will be available for Exodus!

“The Exodus team is very keen to add hardware wallet support (e.g. Trezor, KeepKey, Ledger Nano). I can also tell you that personally JP and I both want hardware wallet support ASAP… We also have heard from a number of high-net worth investors this is the ideal platform with the added hardware auth.

We can likely expect support for hardware wallets on Exodus sometime in 2018. The roadmap below has all the details on what Exodus plans to work on.

Future Roadmap

Feature Status Details
SEGWIT developing Support for Bitcoin SegWit transactions, currently under development, will reduce transaction fees.
Ripple developing
NEO developing
Monero 2017 Monero remains on the Exodus roadmap and we are excited to include this asset. Unfortunately, the UI/UX of Monero remains difficult and is still not ideal. Today novice users continue have difficulty with transaction notifications from the current beta GUI wallet from the Monero core team. Because Exodus does personal one-on-one support for each Exodus user we feel including Monero too early would cause a massive support burdon and confuse casual digital asset enthusiasts. Good news is we are getting closer and we do expect Monero to be included in 2017. Although pros and technical users may like bleeding edge technology, until Monero is rock solid, tested and “dog-fooded” internally Exodus will not release Monero until it is ready for “normal” (non-technical) digital asset consumers. Exodus posted an update on Reddit regarding the history and details on XMR integration (Jan 31, 2017).
ICONOMI 2017 Iconomi is an ERC20 token and expected to be released in 2017
Omni 2018 Likely in 2018. Omni, Maid, Tether all fall in the same body of work for Exodus
Maidsafe 2018 Maid is an Omni token and was expected to be released in 2017, but now delayed until 2018. These assets are built on the Bitcoin blockchain and will be contingent on the hard fork outcome in Q4 2017.
Tether 2018 Tether is an Omni token was expected to be released in 2017, but now delayed until 2018. These assets are built on the Bitcoin blockchain and will be contingent on the hard fork outcome in Q4 2017. We are most excited about Tether because of the ability to have a stable peg inside of the Exodus environment.
2FA planned 2-factor authentication support is on the roadmap, this is likely to precede Hardware Wallet Support
HARDWARE WALLET planned The Exodus team is very keen to add hardware wallet support (e.g. Trezor, KeepKey, Ledger Nano). I can also tell you that personally JP and I both want hardware wallet support ASAP… We also have heard from a number of high-net worth investors this is the ideal platform with the added hardware auth.
. .
Siacoin evaluating Exodus is intrigued with Sia but have not looked the tech to see what the options are.
SingularDTV evaluating SingularDTV is an ERC20 token.
TenX evaluating
Zcash evaluating If the Zcash network remains stable and has continual upgrades it is likely we will support this asset in 2017.

Store And Exchange EOS Tokens In The EXODUS Wallet

Store And Exchange EOS Tokens In The EXODUS Wallet

The latest release from the Exodus Team includes support for EOS!

Exodus users can now store EOS in their multi-asset wallet and maintain full control of their private keys. This will be advantageous for people who have chosen to pick up EOS on exchanges like Bitfinex or Kraken.

Exodus users can exchange EOS directly inside the Exodus wallet.

From Exodus:

Today Exodus welcomes EOS and Aragon to our family of assets. In addition we added further updates to the restore system – restoring from your Exodus backups are even easier and now fully automatic.

In addition to EOS, Exodus has built in support for Aragon.

Exodus currently supports Aragon, Augur, Bitcoin, Decred, Dash, EOS, Ethereum, Golem, and Litecoin.

About EOS

Dan Larimer is leading the EOS project as the CTO.  He brought many innovations to the distributed ledger scene with BitShares and Steemit and his blockchain advocates say he will do even more impressive things with EOS.

The EOS.IO software introduces a new blockchain architecture designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralized applications. This is achieved by creating an operating system-like construct upon which applications can be built. The software provides accounts, authentication, databases, asynchronous communication and the scheduling of applications across hundreds of CPU cores or clusters. The resulting technology is a blockchain architecture that scales to millions of transactions per second, eliminates user fees, and allows for quick and easy deployment of decentralized applications.

The EOS blockchain project is currently running a year long ICO (initial coin offering). The first 20% of tokens were released during the first five days of the ICO. Another 70% of the token supply will be distributed in equal amounts everyday over the remainder of the year. Each day you can participate in the ICO window and purchase EOS. The last 10% of tokens are being held by EOS.
